There are 3 levels of verification of the requester

· Domain Validated (DV), simply verifies that you have the rights to put a certificate on a website.

SSL’s are only valid for the common name for which they were issued. For example, secure.mdomain.tld is not the same to an SSL as mydomain.tld. Godaddy offers multi-domain SSL which should cover subdomains as well.

Security for my site and its sub domains: The Wildcard SSL certificate (starts at $42) is an ideal choice to secure unlimited numbers of sub domains.

Want to secure multiple websites: Some certificate authorities are offering multi domain SSL certificate (starts at $45) that can secure up to 100 multiple web sites.

  1. Just what i was looking for

hi dude thanks for the many options

Decided to go with godaddy , as i wanted a cheaper option with https

    thank you

    1. yeha sure no probs
They are cheap with thier basic https option.. though if you want premuim prices can go quite high with most SSL providers
I have decided to go with https for all my new websites
most important thing – user trust. When users search for the product on search engine and see your website “HTTPS” then users already known that the website is secured and there will be more chances to visit your website and convert visitors into the buyers.

      good luck to you!!

  2. Question regarding a website that will allow visitors to request tours, and once the request is reviewed, payment is processed through Checkfront. On the website there is one form where a visitor can ask for more info and say what sights they want to see, with only the email captured. Since there’d be a redirect to Checkfront make payment, does the site need an SSL certificate?

  3. Oh my goodness! Amazing article dude! Thank you so much, However I am encountering issues with your RSS.
I don’t understand the reason why I can’t join it.
